Nearly 15 years after becoming friends as performers at Hong Kong Disneyland, award-winning actress and singer Crisel Consunji and singer MsLolo reunite for an evening that asks: what if the songs we sang as children held deeper truths about adulthood than we ever realised? 

Both artists have carved extraordinary paths as ethnic minorities in Hong Kong’s entertainment, using their voices to empower their communities and challenge perceptions in spaces that weren’t always ready for them. Now they return to beloved soundtracks from Disney, Broadway and beyond with ears that have known growth, change and hard-won perspective – and discover that these tales weren’t just teaching kids to wish upon stars.

In a fantastical cabaret setting, accompanied by a six-piece live band and choir from Baumhaus, this performance explores how the simplest songs carry the hardest truth, and how that shaped us often know us best when we’re grown.
